This is something that has dawned on me for a very long time in my 9 years here, and I notice other people posting about it all the time now. Deviantart is a horrible place for art. It's also becoming a horrible place for artists with original content ever since dA's "Core" update in 2015. It seems like the only art which ever seems to get any kind of recognition here anymore is fan-art, memes, porn stolen from fetish/adult websites, or artists who already have followers in the 1,000's without having to give any feedback on other people's art, or involve themselves in DA's community.
